I joined a Beijing group tour run by 中旅 more than 10 years ago right after finishing college. I’m Chinese American and it was my first time visiting Beijing, so I expected a straightforward cultural tour. Instead, the itinerary included multiple unlisted stops such as jade shops and tea/cultural centers that felt more like sales environments than cultural experiences. A foot massage stop was also included, with vague instructions to bring cash for “tips,” but it was never clearly explained that payment would effectively be expected. During the massage, I had no cash on me and was publicly pressured in front of the group, creating an extremely uncomfortable situation that another traveler had to step in to resolve. Communication was another major issue. As a non-native Mandarin speaker, I could not clearly understand whether tipping or payment was required, and the tour guide did not speak English at all. This left no way to clarify expectations in real time and created confusion and vulnerability in money-related situations. Staff downstairs rather disinterested but directed me upstairs when pushed. The staff upstairs were helpful although the price they quoted appeared to be 50% above the government price. I think if you are either not confident in making a visa application or you don’t want to queue at the government building and can afford the premium, staff here will do a good job of guiding you through. I didn’t use their services as they couldn’t get a visa in the timeframe needed due to public holidays.

The China Visa service saved our skins. GF already booked the hotels for our trip to Xiamen, went to the Visa Office to find that all the bookings had already been taken. Went CTS and the queue was short. The receptionist was patient and professional. Sorted through all our forms and documents. Crossed the "t"s, dotted the "i"s and made photocopies for all the ones we have missed. Honestly, it's such a great alternative to spending a whole day queuing in a stuffy crowded government office.

These guys are amazing,fast and offer the best advice especially if getting your visa to China proves hectic. They're so friendly and professional. They will do whatever it takes to get you that Visa that you need and their prices are well worth it. If efficiency was a person, then these guys are IT. Don't suffer and struggle alone when you've got these guys to do everything for you.

On hold best part of 2.5 hours.on 3 different head office and another large branch during their supposed "Open For Telephone Service" hours, MUST be staffed exclusively with mainlanders as a typical PRC "Sorry, but could you explain what 'customer service' means please?" (....but less polite of course & some spitting would have been involved at some point most likely) ~ actually I do love all CN. people, or wouldn't have lived Shanghai 12.years but does make you cynical after time.....)
