Without a doubt, these were among the best xiao long bao I have ever tasted. I tried the signature pork and truffle varieties, both of which were freshly prepared and cooked in front of me. Each bun had a beautifully crisp, golden base while remaining soft and fluffy on top. The filling was flavourful and incredibly juicy, with plenty of hot broth inside. A word of caution for first-time visitors: the soup can be extremely hot, so it is best to make a small opening and allow some steam to escape before taking the first bite. The truffle buns were particularly impressive. Their rich aroma was immediately noticeable and paired wonderfully with the savoury filling. I also tried the spicy and numbing option, which delivered an excellent balance of heat, flavour and the signature tingling sensation. The crab roe variety had unfortunately sold out by the time I arrived, which is a testament to the shop’s popularity. The space is small and primarily designed for takeaway, but it has a lively and authentic atmosphere. It is an ideal place to stop for a quick snack while exploring Lyndhurst Terrace. I enjoyed the food so much that I later visited another branch and was equally impressed

The infamous Shanghainese pan fried bun in this branch is more suitable for a takeaway. Standing dine-in option is available but definitely not for tourists with a bigger group, elderly with wheelchair or walker nor for children. It is a quite filling snack to grab and go honestly, but also a good option for takeaway if tourists stay at Airbnb or like a serviced apartment. Other than pan fried buns, they also serve meals like wonton noodle and porridge. This place can be considered whilst in the area.

We came here twice just to have their pan-fried dumplings. We ordered the crab roe and meat pan-fried dumplings, and they were amazing. The dumplings were served hot, and when you bite into them, be careful as the hot soup inside will burst out. The combination of the crispy outer layer, juicy filling, and rich flavour made it one of the best pan-fried dumplings I've ever had. The service was also very efficient. We received our order within about 5 minutes, which was impressive considering how busy the place can be. If you're visiting Hong Kong, this is definitely a must-try spot for pan-fried dumplings. Highly recommended!

Candidly underwhelming, especially with the value proposition given the pricing and quantity of food. Suggest a takeout/pick up order to avoid queing in line, but not necessary since lines were inconsistent, even around 7 pm. Lots of hype, but the food was rather mediocre. Food tends to sit around (unless there is a fresh round), so everything was room temperature. The buns have a crispy bottom and the dough has a pleasant chew, but it was underwhelming. My critique: The soup was good, but for more than half of the baos, they were punctured and thus had no soup. Also, the crab roe was NOT worthwhile, and there was hardly any filling. Crab noodles were rich and bouncy, but can be skipped. If you do get it, suggest pairing with vinegar. Not much seating. There’s a countertop on the exterior of the shop, but it is standing only.

A seriously delicious fried bao spot that left a great impression. I visited twice, and luckily the queue wasn’t too long either time. I tried both the signature and the truffle versions, and really enjoyed both. The outer layer was fried to a beautiful crisp, while inside was juicy pork and flavorful soup that burst out with every bite. The contrast between the crispy exterior and the rich, savory filling made them incredibly satisfying. Definitely a place worth stopping by if you get the chance.
