About 新萬發菜館
新萬發菜館, a Cantonese and dim sum restaurant in Sham Shui Po, is at 九龍深水埗福榮街184號. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted.
When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.
Google lists the opening hours as Mon 11:00–24:00, Tue 11:00–23:30, Wed 11:00–24:00, Thu–Sun 11:00–23:30. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. There is no phone number yet; if the business has a website or social media page, try there, or use the Google Maps link on this page for the latest details.
It has a Google rating of 3.6 out of 5 from 112 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.
Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

Delicious food and popular.

Overhyped local seafood joint with very mediocre food... Long line outside for really no reason at all.... There was maybe 1 or 2 dishes that was acceptable, but the rest was not worth the price they charge

A local seafood restaurant with great Chinese food. The pan fried potato with beef cubes is one of my favorite dishes.
