I had a very unpleasant experience with your this dry cleaner. When I dropped off my laundry, I later discovered that some of my clothes were missing. This time, despite having a heavy load, I only received one bag, unlike the usual two bags I typically get when I drop off my laundry. I suspected that one bag might be missing along with my clothes. I politely asked if he could check for the missing bag. Unfortunately, he became very offended and refused to check, not even looking at me. I asked him again, showing a picture of my missing clothes, but he responded by yelling at me in Chinese, which obviously he knew I don't speak. Eventually, he brought out a basket, threw it on the floor, and told me to look for my clothes myself. The basket contained more than several missing items, including mine. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe in that small laundromat, especially with the owner yelling and pointing at me. It was an unrealistic and distressing experience to be treated this way when simply trying to retrieve my clothes.

Super rude and unprofessional. They will lose you items and won’t take any responsibility. Instead they will lecture you on how to use WhatsApp instead of coming in person to find missing item. Not to mention they will yell at you in front of other customers. They will ruin your day and your belongings. If you don’t have other choices in the neighbourhood, at least don’t bring items there that you wish to see again.

I wish i have never use their service at all. I gave them my suit and some of my shirts for dry cleaning in early April and was told by the owner Mr.chan that I can pick up the shirts in a few days time but needed to come back again for the suit. I went back to the place 2 weeks later for my suit but got told off by this Mr chan as he insisted for the fact that I have already picked it up during my first visit! I was shocked yet I remained very polite, but only to learn that he is a very horrible person to deal with, I asked if he can help and make a call to the dry cleaning factory, he refused to provide any help at all. He was not cooperative in anyway and it was almost impossible to speak to. What he said to me was also very insulting, he literally asked if I am mentally disabled . He left me no other choices but to get the police involved. The police came but they couldn't investigate further as I was told I will need to provide evidence for not getting the suit. It was very frustrating but I couldn't act any further at that point. It is a chain laundry with many branches around the city. The laundry fee is calculated in pounds, and the charge for 1 to 6 pounds is HK$36. Add disinfectant requires an additional HK$5. After washing, the clothes are dried at high temperature, folded and then returned to the customers.

Unlike other laundry shops who fold the clothes after washing, Isla Laundry bundles them back into the plastic bag in a bunch!! Freshly laundered sheets, hot from the dryer, squeezed into bags causing creases which is super hard to iron. Terrible experience, better off with Sunshine Laundry.
