Sheung Wan is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Sheung Wan's Des Voeux Road West and Bonham Strand West are known for dried seafood, ginseng and herbal shops, which are busiest before Lunar New Year.

I had booked two consecutive classes and was genuinely looking forward to enjoying a relaxing yoga session after work. Unfortunately, I finished later than expected. Even though I rushed over as quickly as I could, I still arrived 15 minutes late, slightly out of breath and sweaty. I completely understand that the policy states no entry after 10 minutes, and I respect the need for rules. However, the way the situation was handled left me feeling quite uncomfortable. I was stopped immediately and told, for “safety reasons,” that I could not join the class as I might disturb the other students. I was then instructed to stand outside and wait until the next session. What made it particularly difficult to accept was being asked to wait at the door for 45 minutes until the following class began — essentially standing there the entire time so as not to “disturb” anyone. For a place that promotes relaxation and stress relief, the experience felt surprisingly more like a disciplinary exercise than a calming one. I had entered quietly and slowly, making every effort not to disrupt anyone. Nevertheless, the response was a firm dismissal. To add to the irony, I was still charged for the cl

My favorite yoga studio in HK, can’t recommend it enough! I’ve been to a number of yoga studios over the years because of location, I always end up coming back to Yoga Bagel! The Sheung Wan studio is very spacious, clean and cozy, it’s a real sanctuary! My favorite are Wing’s Gentle Stretch and Hip & Hamstrings class! I am not very flexible and always have really tight calve muscles, Wing really is knowledgeable and experienced, she knows the best poses to target different muscles and areas! I always have a good practice and leave feeling refreshed!

After two years of practicing yoga at this studio, I highly recommend WingYu, Alice, and Gisele's classes. They provide clear guidance and personal attention in small classes (typically 4-12 people). "Full Body Stretch" is perfect for beginners, offering deep stretching more than you can imagine, while "YinYang", "Hatha" and "InsideFlow" are fun and enjoyable for the intermediate level. The studio is clean and cozy, but more restrooms would be a plus. It's easy to book classes after working hours, and overall, it's a peaceful place for yoga and relaxation.

A very cute and cozy studio. I like how the room is quite spacious and there is enough space between the students and their mats, which is hard to come across in HK. The yoga instructors are very friendly and experienced, and they are open to feedback in terms of what the students want to learn and adjusting their classes accordingly (with options and challenges for all levels). I personally really enjoy going to Gisele’s splits and back bend class every Sunday morning. The location is also very convenient - a 1 min walk from Sheung Wan MTR station. Highly recommend!

15 Nov 730am morning flow yoga class teacher Janxt. T didn't show up. Terrible! Wasting 4 students' time to wait for nothing. It is a sin to waste other people's time.
