Sheung Wan is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Sheung Wan's Des Voeux Road West and Bonham Strand West are known for dried seafood, ginseng and herbal shops, which are busiest before Lunar New Year.

A tourist who wants to support local business and TCM tourism here. I tried my best to be friendly, use Google translate to converse and AI to translate what I need, but the shop keeper is not very friendly. I know they might not be tech knowledgeable but just being patient will make a difference. Guess I'm stuck with big brands and buying in the touristic spots.

It’s a very old shop that my aunt always buys from for years and years. They recently relocated to this new location because the original building was demolished. A few old gentlemen there have always been helpful and honest every time I visited. Please support the local small business anyway you Ca. Instead of buying from big supermarket chains.
