In Hong Kong a dispensary (藥房, an Authorized Seller of Poisons) must employ a registered pharmacist, some medicines can only be sold under the pharmacist's supervision, and it usually displays an "Rx" sign; a medicine company (藥行) may only sell less tightly controlled medicines. Prescription drugs need a doctor's prescription, and the pharmacist can explain dosage and side effects.
Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Sat 09:00–20:00, Sun closed. It is open 6 days a week. Many clinics and health services in Hong Kong close or shorten their hours on Sundays and public holidays. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2725 5100. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.
