Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

Looking back at my first trial class with my mum in August 2022, I can’t believe how much my practice has transformed at Anahata. I’ve actually been doing yoga for over 15, maybe close to 20 years now—having practiced since I was a teenager trying to lose weight. Across commercial studios in the UK and HK, I used to be a tense front-row competitor who relied entirely on raw flexibility. Coming to Anahata for teacher training shifted everything. The Masters taught me to move past bending and focus on deep core strength. They placed an immense emphasis on safety, teaching me how to enter and exit advanced poses correctly to prevent injuries. In a city where the pace is always "chop chop," I’ve also learned the art of letting go. I even lock my work phone away before class now—can you imagine? Protecting that hour of "me time" as a busy UK-qualified solicitor has been a massive breakthrough. True self-improvement starts with that awareness. After my 200-hour training in 2023, I spontaneously took the leap into the advanced 300-hour training because the timing suited. Hitting my 500 YTT milestone was incredibly rewarding, but I’m not stopping—I'm starting a 100-hour Inversion YTT a

I have successfully completed my 500-hour YTT at Anahata Studio, and it has been an incredibly meaningful experience. The studio offers a warm and supportive community that makes learning yoga so uplifting. Although yoga is a personal journey, this space feels extremely safe and non-judgmental. The masters give clear, precise instructions and always check on your progress — you really feel seen and valued. What I learned goes far beyond yoga poses; I gained deep inner wisdom. Their unique teaching methods suit all levels, allowing everyone to learn and grow at their own pace. Highly recommend!

The yoga instructors at this studio are outstanding and highly skilled. But the admin side is a bit of a mess —confusing communication on whatsapp, lack of customer support and silly policies. It’s a shame because the instructors are great.

I joined the 300 Advanced Hatha YTT Class. I enjoyed every class I attended. I had some breakthrough in some of my favorite yoga poses. The teachers here are all well experiened and teach with passion. They do not just emphasize on yoga poses only but rather more on Yogic attitude. The experience here opens my mind on my yoga journey, it is something that I couldn't find in other Yoga studios. Thank you Anahatha Yoga Studio.

This was my first yoga retreat with Master Yogananth, but second training with Andiappan Yoga. I travelled almost two days from Ecuador to get to Thailand and have such a wonderful experience. Everything was well organised in a nice place with nice food. I was pleased to get the knowledge from Master Yogananth and help of the group of such lovely ladies from Hong Kong. I am looking forward to going to another retreat or mentorship.
