surgeons here are top tier, my cat had a foreign body open surgery, and I am very grateful for the successful result. However, the nurses here are not very professional. After the surgery, I called to inquiry about how much food my cat was eating during her stay at the hospital, the nurse told me “20g every 4 hour, wet or dry food”. Anyone with basic vet knowledge would know that the calories from the same amount of wet and dry food are significantly different, and this was a very inaccurate description to brush me off. This is the service you get for 2000-4000 hkd a night of stay. Their fees were also not very transparent. I was given a quote before the surgery, that was significantly different from the final invoice. I received a five page long invoice, including all the equipment and set up fee for the surgery, charged at 10x market price (30 hkd for a pair of gloves, 80 hkd for a surgical gown, 1300 for set up fee etc). So just be mindful to prepare extra 20k for these on top of the quote! Overall the experience has been great, what matters the most is the doctors are great!

I cannot thank enough of Dr. Nicolas Barthelemy and Nurse Fish. He explained every detail to me in great details and always so patient. I understand he had only come to Hong Kong last year. Felt lucky my baby 柔柔 was in his good hands. Nurse Fish is like an angel. I hope she can read my comments. So caring and calm and understanding. I also think the 麻醉科 is of high standard too as my baby seemed to have little side effects. My baby on the right just 7 days after the mammary gland and neutering surgeries. She has recovered well.

However, it is evident that the clinic’s growing reputation has led to a significant manpower shortage. To maintain the high standard of care that we’ve come to expect, I strongly encourage the management to prioritize: • Expanding the GP Team: Recruiting more experienced General Practice Veterinarians to manage the daily caseload and ensure every patient receives thorough attention. • Strengthening ER Capabilities: Adding senior Emergency Vets to handle critical cases, especially during peak hours or overnight shifts. The current staff is doing a heroic job, but they are clearly stretched thin. Investing in more experienced veterinary hands will not only protect the well-being of the medical team but also ensure the best possible outcomes for our beloved pets. We love this clinic and want to see it thrive for years to come!

My Standard Poodle ‘Goldie ‘ had a Patent Ductus Arteriosus issue. Millions thanks to doctor Peter Holler and his team of the ‘Animal Medical Academy Hospital’ in performing successfully the procedure to close the persistent connection. Goldie was discharged from the hospital only a day from the surgery and she was already running , eating and playing like nothing had happened. It was really really amazing. Goldie is very healthy and happy and she’s still the princess in my house.

Very good vet hospital! compare to other hospital they don’t force you check all blood and over price . Doctor Philip is very patient , give good suggestions Thanks for all even I can’t cure my cat but appreciate all the suggestions and solutions that can help !
