Tucked away on Tai Wong Street East in Wan Chai, Asado delivers an authentic Argentine steakhouse experience. The intimate spot, with just a handful of tables, feels cozy yet upscale, perfect for a special dinner without the crowds. Ambiance and Service The vibe is warm and inviting, evoking a Buenos Aires parrilla with its focus on quality over flash. Staff was very attentive and helpful, guiding us through the menu and even advising on portions to avoid over-ordering. Food Highlights We started with an excellent salad, the portion was very generous and the dressing was delicious with just the right amount of garlic and Parmesan cheese. We also indulged in the morcilla sausage dish and the shrimp. Both were simple and straightforward. The skirt steak and the bone-in ribeye were tender and juicy. The only two let-downs were the bread (although the dip was great) and the French fries, as we would have expected some hand-cut fries instead of the commercial variety. The coconut ice cream could've been stronger flavored and the salsas were not distinctive enough, with the one that accompanied the morcilla being served again with the steak and it being too similar to what was served a

Honestly probably the best steak I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve had a few!). Went for the gambas to start, which were excellent and a really good sized portion given the price, then the tenderloin with sides of the grilled cauliflower and garlic mash, everything was hot, fresh and tasted superb, the steak with the chimichuri dressing was honestly phenomenal! Staff were attentive and the manager/owner(?) was super friendly and chatty. How this place wasn’t booked out I do not understand but let’s just say when I come to HK again this will definitely be my go to restaurant for a great meal!

I went there for lunch and ordered the lunch set with tomato soup and a rib-eye steak medium. The rib-eye steak came medium indeed, outside with a brown crust and inside slightly red and juicy, the texture and flavour of the steak were definitely of high quality. The service was very attentive and very efficient, however very direct and reduced to the minimum of words, for example “do you have reservation?” without preceding greeting, or coming to table and asking straight “what do you want?”, all without any touch of friendliness or smile. The music during lunch time was as loud as in an evening bar which was rather unpleasant.

Me and my friend had the best buffet lunch ever in Hong Kong. The food was amazing, be it the taste or the presentation. Most importantly, the staff who works there are so friendly and approachable especially Jonah. Jonah is always being very attentive to our needs and always makes sure that we were well taken care of. We really had so much fun to have her around. Overall we had a very fantastic dining experience here in Asado and we will definitely be back again, not just for the food and atmosphere but also for Jonah. Love this girl. And also, we will definitely recommend our friends to come over. Good job Asado.

Home away from home. Food was good, most of the dished were spot on. I opted to try many starters and no main. Owner and I got into a chat and I even got my coffee on the house. Will return for sure.
