About 半山貓醫院

半山貓醫院是香港島唯一的貓科醫院

半山貓醫院 is a vet in Mid-Levels, Central and Western, at 香港島半山般咸道3號地下A鋪. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.

Vet clinics are busiest in the early evening and at weekends, so book a slot for anything non-urgent. Check the rules before taking your pet on public transport, and for long-term follow-up ask whether the clinic offers packages. This page does not replace a vet's diagnosis.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 09:00–19:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2688 0013. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, mlcathospital.com.

Customers give it an average of 4.8 out of 5 on Google (340 reviews), a high score by any measure.

Mid-Levels is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Most businesses use Cantonese, English is widely spoken in business and tourist areas, and many shops can also serve customers in Mandarin.

Been 4 times. Last one, arrived 10 min early than what my appointment was, 9am. I went in to see the doctor 9:35… One of the ladies in the desk, kept that 45 minutes complaining to her colleague about me and blaming on me in cantonese because I arrived before, with not nice words and tone at all. The doctor, first time you don't realise, second too, 4th its obvious that want to rip you off, overmedicating, over doing 10k small surgeries (that’s a scam risking the live of you beloved pet), cold treatment and showing lack of regard for the well-being of the animals . Then when I went back to the desk, to get the instructions of the cat care, get medicines and pay, the same girl that kept complaining about me at the beginning, don't know how to speak a word in English, adding her lack of social abilities, not nice for the price tag you are paying and the area where the clinic is.

I have now gone to Midlevels Cat Hospital multiple times to get prescriptions for my cat. Each time, I have confirmed the prescriptions in advance. And each time, I show up and they are confused, don't have what I need, leave me waiting, and take up an hour of my time (when I've had an in-person appointment, I also waited for almost an hour). The first time I figured it was a bad day. By the fourth time, it's hard to explain with anything other than incompetence. I've wasted hours and hours of my time with this vet. The level of incompetence is shocking. If they can't even figure out prescriptions, I certainly would not trust them with any other care for my animal. I'm switching vets, and I would strongly recommend finding another vet for your cat.

I recently took my cat Cola to the Mid Levels Cat Hospital for her first spay surgery, and I have to say, it was a positive experience overall. The staff at the hospital were friendly and attentive, and they made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process.👍🏻👍🏻 The waiting area had a calm and soothing atmosphere, that helped to alleviate any anxiety for Cola. Dr Wilson who performed the spay surgery on Cola was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Dr Wilson and the nurses took the time to explain the procedure and answer all of my questions, ensuring that I fully understood what would be happening. The surgery went smoothly, and Cola's recovery has been progressing well. One thing that could do it better is the waiting time. Tho I understand that emergencies can happen, the wait was a bit longer than expected. 🤨However, the staff kept me informed about the delay and apologized for any inconvenience caused, which I appreciated.

Very disapointing experience. They are offering free snacks for 5-star reviews but I hope you all can find my REAL REVIEW here. 請大家唔好為咗免費零食亂俾5星 *****UPDATES to reply the vet***** Your reply shows how IMMORAL you are as a vet. “I hope we all agree that, it is almost impossible to miss a 2-meter long foreign object in a cat’s stomach or intestine.” Dear Dr. Wilson, please admit that you MISSED it even opening my cat’s belly. And please don’t try to say that my cat swallowed the string after initial surgery because the symptons started before the suregery and her situation got worse afterwards. She didn’t even have any energy to move around aft the surgery, not to mention swallowing a string. And we worked from home everyday to keep an eye on her. After getting the string, I could tell where the string was from and I am sure that she swallowed it before visiting this clinic. I take it as a compliment to my cat who is tough and strong. 2nd clinic also mentioned that my cat is doing so great to tolerate the string for a month and luckily the string was thin and soft. “That's why our veterinarian also suggested intravenous fluid therapy for 24 hours and repeat X-ray to reassess the
