Chungking Mansions have their own flavour so it may not be for everyone, but the hotel specifically is decent - clean and rather quiet. The service is nice, although not the most responsive.

Positive things first: The staff is nice and there’s free coffee. Unfortunately, I was a bit naive when booking this. The rooms are really really small. If you travel with a big suitcase forget it. The air conditioning is very weak. So during the night it was like a sauna inside the tiny room. The mattress is very hard. The towels and bedsheets had other people’s hair on it. Also the building the guest house is in is a bit creepy. We booked a new accommodation for the next day onwards 30mins after arriving in our room. Would not recommend this to anyone who values their comfort.
