Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

A regular at Pizza Hut, so while in Causeway Bay this time, decided to visit that branch. The lift downstairs was out of order, had to walk up the stairs. Not a big issue, but it was a bit confusing trying to figure out where the entrance actually was. Arrived around 11ish, so it was understandably quite quiet and we just sat down wherever. Unfortunately, I noticed a dead cockroach stuck in the gap of the sofa, which completely ruined my appetite. As for the food, it was alright at best. The lobster soup, which is usually quite light (sometimes over dilute)in other branches, was strangely thick and almost pasty here. The pepperoni dip flatbread, salad and pasta were fairly standard, nothing special but acceptable. The chairs looked really worn out, and there didn’t seem to be many staff around either. With so few customers and the general condition of the place, it honestly felt a bit like they might be closing down soon.

We craved pizza and we selected pizza hut this time. It’s been a long time since we dine in. To start, the place is quite nice and the ambience is so quiet. We got the table very easily. The food was ok though. I felt their pizza was not the same as before. Even the taste was downgraded. The pasta serving was getting smaller and doesn’t fit with the pricing. I felt, speaking with the food we ordered, pizza and pasta, were getting smaller in portion and taste getting far from what we expected. Staff were very attentive and helpful. I still recommend this restaurant, i will give it a try again.

I haven't had pizza hut in HK for years. I don't remember it being so terrible. After ordering, I overheard several tables saying they've been waiting for over an hour. They never apologized to anyone for the wait and also never followed up. The customers had to flag down several servers. It wasn't even busy but I did not see a single pizza come out of the kitchen for the 30 min I waited. The pizzas were horrible. It was not hot - pan pizza should have a super crispy bottom. It was not. The the toppings were little, and the crust was unbelievably huge. It had got to be the worst pizza I've seen and eaten. It was just eating 90% dough. The clam had no taste but the thousand island one at least had a little bit of flavor. I don't think I'll be eating at any pizza hut anymore.
