About BRISA

Brisa is a cacao-driven café and culinary cocktail bar based in Hong Kong. Working closely with Conspiracy Chocolate, Brisa places single-origin, bean-to-bar cacao at the centre of its identity, alongside precision-roasted specialty coffee and a highly ingredient-driven cocktail program. By day, Brisa operates as Hong Kong’s first cacao café; by night, it transforms into a culinary cocktail lab where drinks are crafted using fresh, seasonal produce, in-house infusions, and bespoke techniques.

Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

Brisa, meaning "breeze" in Spanish, is aptly named. The imaginative bespoke drink concept, knowledgeable mixologist and elegant ambiance make it a breeze to fall in love with. By night, Brisa offers an intriguing concept of creating bespoke drinks according to patron's preference. The mixologist demonstrates a commendable skill set, guiding guests through a multitude of equally attractive options, leading to a genuinely admirable concoction. My cue for gin, pandan and a hint of fruitiness led to a magical gustatory journey beyond layman's imagination - a delightful balance between the familiar and the exotic. The ambiance is quiet and chic with a curated playlist of sultry beats, creating a serene backdrop for conversation and a perfect location to wind down despite being conveniently located in the city centre.

Nestled away, this bar is a creative venue for curious drinkers. You choose your flavours from a build‑your‑own cocktail list, and the bartenders do the rest. I had a bold gin, cava, and squid ink cocktail, while my friend went for a smooth whiskey‑orange, and both were excellent. The team are true pros who really listen to what you like and turn it into a personalised drink. It’s the kind of place you keep going back to, just to see what they’ll come up with next.

Hidden in Causeway Bay's Lee Garden, this café is a perfect oasis of calm. Stepping inside feels like a pause button from the neighbourhood's relentless energy, offering a genuinely chill and relaxed atmosphere. The quality matches the vibe perfectly. The coffee is expertly crafted, smooth and robust. Their bakery selection is a delight, with cookies that are wonderfully chewy and buttery, and sandwiches that are fresh, generously filled, and utterly delicious. It’s that rare find where you can truly unwind over an excellent cup, enjoy a satisfying bite, and leave feeling recharged. An absolute gem for a quiet moment or a casual catch-up. Highly recommended.

Nestled away, this bar is a playground for the curious drinker. The concept is brilliantly simple yet endlessly captivating: an interactive menu where you guide the creation of your cocktail from a universe of spirits, infusions, and modifiers. My chosen adventure—a green mango, cucumber, and Earl Grey tea concoction—was nothing short of a revelation. Vibrant, herbaceous, and perfectly balanced, it was both refreshing and complex. The skilled bartenders are alchemists, translating whims into exquisite drinks. More than a bar, it’s a personalized sensory experience where creativity is the star. An absolute must-visit.
