Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

Tried their DELI counter for the first time and probably the last. 🥗 Salads didn’t taste fresh (in the end not cheap 38hkd/100g and usually you pay for more), same for the chicken wrap (lots of chicken without flavor). So many meals to-go options but flavor just not here. 💁‍♂️ Customer Service counter was helpful, the grumpy cashier wasn’t :(

Late June 2026 Central IFC's City Super offers the same consistent range of products as all other outlets. I made a quick canvass of coffee and water bottle options and found a number of brands.

One of the many city’super supermarket outlets in Hong Kong, this was the branch I frequented the most during my last visit. The supermarket carries a wide range of premium and imported products, including many premium strawberry varieties that I have not seen in Singapore, often at fairly reasonable prices. That said, the supermarket as a whole is still quite pricey. However, the product selection is huge and very comprehensive, making it an enjoyable place to browse if you enjoy gourmet groceries and imported items.

Probably the most interesting supermarket in HK to buy interesting food and edible souvenirs. So many beatufull types of colorful pasta! Very big and nice choice of dairy products.

Having recently moved from the U.S., City’super at IFC has been a fantastic find—especially since it's so close to where I live. It’s become one of my go-to spots for groceries. The store carries a wide range of products from the U.S., U.K., Japan, and Korea, which makes it easy to find familiar and high-quality items. One thing I do wish they carried more of is Latin American and Caribbean products. I understand it might not be in high demand in this market, but it’s a personal preference I’d love to see in the future :) The produce is where City’super really shines. Their fruit—especially the strawberries—is always fresh and delicious. Even the blueberries, which might look similar to what you'd find in local stores, consistently taste better here. I also find their Chinese produce to be excellent in both quality and price, which is a nice surprise. My grocery staples include their organic bean sprouts and spring onions, and I’m a big fan of the Japanese sweet potatoes—they’re perfect in the steam oven. City’super also has an impressive cheese selection, which cheese lovers will appreciate, and their meat and seafood are always fresh. If you're in the mood for a good steak, th
