Champak by ATUM is a spacious Thai restaurant with outdoor seating overlooking the busy streets of Mongkok. Popped in to escape the summer heat and enjoy a relaxing late lunch. Deep-fried Pork Knuckle Took a while to prepare so we ordered once we got seated. Big portion. Crunchy skin. Perfect for meat lovers. Boat Noodles w/ Beef Tongue & Minced Meat Topped with pork skin chips. Rich and sweet broth. The thinly-sliced beef tongue had a good amount of fat. Stir-fried Chinese Kale w/ Belacan Earthy, slightly bitter kale. Savory. Nice wok hay. Tom Yum Kung w/ Shrimp Thai staple. Sour and spicy. Appetizing. A small bowl was probably enough for 4 to share. As for the drinks, we had a super bubbly lime soda, sweet coconut and a refreshing Singha.

Finally we found a restaurant in HK that has great fresh dishes that are also adapted to our requirements with not eating every kind of meat. The waiter was amazing and so patient.

Thai Crispy Fried Pork Knuckle — $148 The fried pork knuckle has a crispy, dry, and fragrant exterior, with a satisfying crunch in every bite. The meat inside remains moist, with a good balance of lean meat and fat, giving it a rich and layered texture. The leaner parts are savory and firm, making it more flavorful the more you eat. The pork is already well-marinated, so it tastes great even without much extra seasoning. That said, pairing it with the accompanying hot and sour dipping sauce makes it feel even more Thai-style and even more appetizing. When served, the bone has already been separated from the meat, making it very easy to eat — and every bite is packed with meat. Roti Paratha— $52 The flaky pancake is pan-fried until golden and crispy on the outside. It is light, layered, and slightly chewy, with the pastry pulling apart in thin, delicate sheets. The texture is both chewy and crisp, with plenty of layers. The aroma of the oil pastry is rich and becomes more fragrant the more you chew, with a noticeable buttery note. Che Ba Mau — $48 This three-color shaved ice dessert is cool and refreshing, with a nice variety of textures. The coconut juice is sweet and smooth, pai

This modern Thai café serves up a fresh take on traditional dishes, blending authentic flavors with a youthful twist. Upon entering, the chic decor and lively atmosphere promise an exciting culinary experience. The chicken skewers are a delightful start to the meal. Grilled to perfection, they offer a juicy tenderness that pairs nicely with a thai peanut sauce. They’re not overly rich, allowing the natural flavors of the marinated chicken to shine. The chicken wing skewers follow suit, boasting a crispy exterior and succulent meat that bursts with flavor. Moving on to the Chicken Massaman Curry, this dish is a standout. The rich, aromatic sauce is a beautiful blend of spices, enveloping tender chicken pieces. Served with steaming rice, the curry is a comforting choice. The addition of roti paratha is a genius move; its flaky texture provides a delightful contrast, perfect for scooping up the flavorful curry. For a refreshing side, the Garlic Stir Fry Cabbage is a must-try. The crisp cabbage retains a satisfying crunch, and the garlic adds a fragrant aroma, enhancing the dish without overwhelming it. Dessert is where this café truly excels, and the mango sticky rice does not di
