Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only. Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

The cold and hot appetizers, bread and butter, and desserts were all nice. We ordered yellow chicken for the main which was underwhelming though. Food serving was ok, plates were served in the right temperature accordingly. Drinks serving, however, was far below standard and disappointing. 1. When we arrived, the waiter asked if we want still or sparkling. We saw the menu said that filtered water is $28 per person and no tap water was served so we just answered still. Not only afterwards that we were aware that they actually charge us as bottled water. We probably should have clarified at the beginning but we felt tricked as other restaurants servng filtered water and charge water per person would have made this clear to guests to avoid such misunderstanding. 2. We ordered a 4 glasses wine set, they needed to be reminded to serve the wine after the food was served. We were the only table ordering wine yet the sommelier only appeared to introduce the first wine. Other staff served the other wines and there were no introduction or explanation on the wine at all. I read somewhere that they have the sommelier room and 4000 bottles. Yet, they couldn't even do the wine serving right. Th

Perfect mix and match. The favours are rich and perfectly balanced. Outstanding service. All the staff are attentive, friendly and professional. 🍽️ Dinner at Clarence feels polished and plentiful, generous portions with cozy vibes. The whole dining experience was smooth, and the food was good. Some fine tuning could make it better. ✨ Vibes: ⭐⭐⭐⭐️⭐classy, cozy booths and perfect lighting - shines on the food, not your face ✨ Flavour: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ tasty bread basket and standout appetizers (cold scallops, octopus, mushrooms); mains solid but mixed - beef cheek tender 👍🏻, chicken flavorful but skin could be crispier, mushroom pasta is just ok not much unique flavor and feels like they slap it there for the vegetarian folks ✨ Crew: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ smooth, efficient service though a bit robot‑like where smiles are scarced; some guidance on ordering would’ve helped ✨ Worth: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ generous portions for quality dining in Central 🍜 Star Bites: cold scallop plate, grilled octopus, mushroom hot plate 🍨Desserts were fine but not wow, more of a “nice touch” than a closer. 📍 Great pick for small groups who enjoy elevated comfort dining without the pretense. Clever booth lighting design. Enjoyable experience, yet still have room to improve 👍🏻 (Saw the other reviews said that they were offered a polaroid. We weren’t offer a polaroid even though we celebrat

I recently went to Clarence for dinner with my partner. I chose this restaurant because of their menu featuring lighter French dishes. We decided to try the tasting menu, which included two cold and two hot appetizers, a main course, and dessert. Every dish was beautifully presented, and we were genuinely impressed by how delicious everything was. The service was attentive, and the wine pairings were spot on, really enhancing the flavors of each dish. The atmosphere was perfect for gathering with friends, going on a date, or celebrating a special occasion. We had a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience and can’t wait to return again!
