About 大坑動物診所

大坑動物診所 is a vet in Tai Hang, Wan Chai, at 香港島大坑浣紗街1-5號浣紗閣. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.

Vet clinics are busiest in the early evening and at weekends, so book a slot for anything non-urgent. Check the rules before taking your pet on public transport, and for long-term follow-up ask whether the clinic offers packages. This page does not replace a vet's diagnosis.

Opening hours: Mon–Fri 10:30–14:00 and 16:00–19:00, Sat–Sun 12:00–18:00. It opens every day of the week. Note the break in the middle of the day: it opens in two sessions. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 2577 5755. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.

It has a Google rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 32 reviews, a strong score that points to consistently positive experiences.

Tai Hang is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Hong Kong summers are hot and humid, and typhoons and rainstorms come mostly in summer and autumn; when the Observatory issues signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning, many businesses close until it is lifted.

Best vet I've had. Many vets in the city suggest you do all kinds of unnecessary tests "just to make sure" but in fact just cost you thousands of dollars everytime for no good reason. Clients of course tend to defer to the vet and agree to whatever they suggest when they're distressed. Hans however, is practical and realistic about the exams and treatment your pet actually need. But if you're the kind of client who want to have all grounds covered then you have to tell him to do those tests even if he advised it may not be necessary. He spends ample time with your pet to make sure they get the care needed. On the downside yes maybe you'll be waiting longer, but on the upside he's not making you leave after 5 minutes. Any of your questions will be answered patiently. He's friendly and funny too.

crap service, very delayed appointment which was not mentioned when I entered the clinic. vet finished their prev appointment and proceeded to spend the next 10 minutes bantering with the customer instead of dealing with the backlog in the waiting room.

Dr. Johannes and his nurse genuinely care about my corgi Melon and are open to discussing the pros and cons of an operation. It makes me feel at ease. My corgi is now recovering well from the operation. I am truly thankful for them!

My chihuahua has seen this vet twice. The first time when he was a new patient, the vet took very good care of him - detailed examination, cut his nails, calmed his anxiety. My dog was super nervous and fierce but the vet was able to 'communicate' with him and totally calmed him It was amazing! It made us want to go back. However when we went back for the second time, hethe vet was inattentive. It was disappointing. Anyway, my biggest concern is that the clinic doesn't have its own lab for blood work and other tests.

Eternally thankful to Tai Hang Veterinary Clinic. You saved my cat's life while he was on the brink of death in an urgent situation many years ago. You've also saved a friend of mine's cat in a serious state. Thank you for your true genuine care and respect that you have for animals, and for your expertise that I've never seen in any other veterinary clinics elsewhere.
