Hong Kong's supermarkets, convenience stores and wet markets each have their role: convenience stores are mostly open 24 hours, supermarkets usually from morning until about 22:00, and wet markets are busiest in the morning and early evening. Since the end of 2022 plastic shopping bags cost HK$1 each, so bring your own; Octopus and e-payments are common, but not every market stall accepts them. Many supermarkets deliver online orders, with delivery fees usually based on the order value.

Opening hours: daily, 09:00–21:30. It is open seven days a week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 2451 8200. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. Its website is dsgroceries.com, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

At 3.8 out of 5 on Google (82 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
