About 祥興零售批發
祥興零售批發, a supermarket in Cheung Sha Wan, Sham Shui Po, is at 九龍長沙灣元州街. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted.
Hong Kong's supermarkets, convenience stores and wet markets each have their role: convenience stores are mostly open 24 hours, supermarkets usually from morning until about 22:00, and wet markets are busiest in the morning and early evening. Since the end of 2022 plastic shopping bags cost HK$1 each, so bring your own; Octopus and e-payments are common, but not every market stall accepts them. Many supermarkets deliver online orders, with delivery fees usually based on the order value.
Opening hours: daily, 10:00–22:00. It is open seven days a week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. You can call 2613 1208; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.
At 3.9 out of 5 on Google (73 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Cheung Sha Wan is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Hong Kong has more than a dozen public holidays a year; around Lunar New Year, Easter, Mid-Autumn and Christmas many businesses change their hours, and some small shops close for three to seven days over Lunar New Year.

YES, STUFFS CHEAP, but the front staff so weird, especially cashers, since beginning they've been overcharged my bill, sometimes ten dollars, twenty dollars, one time they've been even overcharged thirty some dallors on my bill, if couple dallors I'll let it go, but why I still go over there, just because stuffs cheap over there, that's all, I just don't get it, why don't they be more careful and accurately, when they ringing up the bill, I've had called and complained to the store owner and got my money back at that moment, they have no apologies not even once, maybe they did it on purpose, maybe accdentally, mostly time I shop over there, I can feel the animosity by the front staff, I feel like I walk into the wrong section at Flatbush Brooklyn, I really hope I'll have a good experienc when I shop over there next time.

Decades old independent supermarket. A wide staircase on the street level leads to its store proper in the basement. Many items are significantly cheaper than similars from the chain stores.

*Exceeding our expectation!* This place offers more than what we could find in ordinary old-HK style supermarket! We found gigantic BIG BUNNY candy (maybe it’s around CNY, not sure); and we are thrilled to find a range of spices on their shelves, and they come in reasonable prices! No-prepacking options are available too, we will go with containers to buy rice in our next visit! ♻️
