the food might not be the freshest but the comfortable, spacious dining environment is a welcome respite from the humidity and bustling crowds outside on a summer night. and the food is also super yummy, even if its not the freshest. i love how they have the cheung fun condiments on each table, allowing you to customize all the flavour you want. my favourite combination was a generous drizzle of the sweet, smooth, nutty peanut sauce; a bit of the brown, umami sweet sauce; a light drizzle of the sweet and spicy chili sauce; and a dash of the sesame to finish it off. the rice rolls were thicker than usual, but still soft, silky, and QQ. although, i wish the youtiao was a bit chewier and doughier and fresher. the congee was surprisingly delicious as well. it stayed hot and comforting throughout the entire meal, and it was the perfect balance of soupiness and creaminess. although it was mild, it was still flavourful and so fragrant with some white pepper. there was also an abundant amount of the century egg and lean meat topping. the century egg was perfectly gelatinous, firm, and subtly earthy, and the meat was simple and mildly flavoured but provided a nice porky taste. the fried

Late June 2026 Congee / Juk / Rice porridge restaurant at busy TST area. The food is consistent to most of the food reviews. Standard and fair serving sizes and the wide diversity of selected ingredients range from traditional to classic choices. The liver congee was fresh and the texture of the porridge is balanced and thick. The fried rice roll was slightly bland and not as crisp and crunchy. The service is typical to the HK setting, quick, fast, and business like. The place is bright, cool, and modern with a design that is an update from the usual juk places which are mostly informal. An ideal place for quick eats and small groups or solo dining as well.

I had pork liver and abalone congee which was perfect. Well-cooked. The fried dough was also good and went well with the congee. Seems to be long line but the flow was fast.

The food tastes great and the waiting time wasn’t long. The congee was served hot, and the meat pieces were quite big. The pork liver was excellent — very fresh and not gamey at all. The fried dough sticks were very delicious. I especially loved the rice noodle rolls with fried dough sticks — they were really good. The rice noodle rolls with char siu were okay.

A warm congee served with various pork and chicken meat option. I would say the congee is just 7/10 Nothing fancy, and you need to adjust the sauce, pepper, chilli, and sesame yourself. The stick dough though, is amazing served with wrapped chong fan. The sauce is amazing too! 8/10 Overall 7.5/10 Nothing fancy, just a casual comfort food Worth special visit? Prob not
