Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

At one-seventh the price of one Michelin starred Mora, which also serves fusion soy based cuisine, 豆公館 is really cost effective and pretty great. Not a veggie restaurant. The things we ordered were all well-seasoned comfort food. I’d recommend all of them. The laoganma noodles are decently spicy.

I love the ambience of this place. I dropped by here for some tofu dessert 😋 Love the wooden furniture and the floor tiles go perfectly with the wood in an uncluttered way. I ordered Duo duo no. 4 - Cold mangoe black glutinous rice tofu pudding. It's really good and refreshing. Sweet enough without the syrup on the side.

Clean and very fast service though the online portal to order was confusing. We ordered their pork braised minced rice with floss and another spicy braised pork with rice. They were both good with a substantial bowl and decent prices. We also got a mango sago tofu pudding which was not sweet at all but texturally it was delicious.

A new food place opened in MongKok sells the freshest bean products at reasonable prices! I loved their soy milk and bean puddings because they come in all kinds of flavours! The fried rice vermicelli was a bit spicy but real tasty. The congee was warm and comforting, while the pan fried tofu with fish paste was nicely cooked. Would recommend bean and soy lovers to come and enjoy.

Dou Gong Guan, a new vegetarian restaurant in Mong Kok, is a must-try for soy product lovers. Their freshly made tofu dishes are the highlight, with the pan-fried fish tofu offering a delightful crispy exterior and soft interior. The signature tofu pudding, served with brown sugar, is a classic treat. Don't miss the generously portioned pork floss egg pancake, a savory and satisfying option. Spice enthusiasts will appreciate the Lao Gan Ma stir-fried noodles, packed with flavor and wok hei. The black sesame soy milk provides a healthy and refreshing complement to the meal. With excellent food quality, generous portions, and reasonable prices, Dou Gong Guan offers great value, especially their breakfast sets. Highly recommended for vegetarians and anyone looking for a delicious meal in Mong Kok.
