Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

I guess it’s closer to 3.5 stars Beef noodles is nice, rich broth and very tender beef cubes Dumplings (+$33) has a chewy skin texture and fillings are pure pork mince, nothing special but you won’t hate it either However, the 10% service charge added on top is kinda shocking. There is literally no “service” apart from taking your order and delivering the food to your table. There isn’t even a cup of water served. Service charge seriously???

Been here twice, both times wonderful. Expect spending $100 for a perfect bowl of noodles and a drink. I’ve tried the spicy dry-mix noodles and the non-spicy soup noodles, both are excellent. The beauty is in the broth and seasoning. The noodles are also perfectly chewy. It’s rare these days for sichuanese food to convey freshness and quality of ingredients but this is what you get here. The spicy dumplings are also the best I’ve had in Hong Kong. One area to improve is that the beef is tough, but the other parts are good enough to make up for this. The seating is more comfortable than the average noodle place and I like the decorations. Service is very good and attentive. Will keep coming.

After ordering from this place on Foodpanda a few times, I decided to check it out in person. It’s located inside the Kai Tak Commercial Building — just follow the signs upstairs. The portion size is generous, though I do wish there were more topping options. I like that they offer vegetarian soup base choices too. I ordered the spiciest level and it was still very enjoyable. My husband got the hot and sour noodles with pork intestines, and I got the same version but vegetarian with pickled vegetables. The bottled beer was ice-cold, which was a nice surprise since most local spots don’t usually serve it that cold. The only letdown was the plum tea, which tasted extremely watered down compared to the one I had before. A solid spot if you’re craving a flavorful and hearty bowl of noodles with generous portions. Update: I ordered through Foodpanda today and not only did I receive the wrong order, but the food was also inedible. It tasted like pure old oil with no flavor at all — I had to throw it away. I don't expect portion sizes to be the same for delivery. However, I didnt get any of the toppings such as the mock meat, corriander or spring onions.

I had the DanDan dry mixed noodles (bb level of spiciness) with added braised spareribs. These noodles were superb, mix well the minced pork, peanuts, julienned cucumbers, spring onions, and you have some wonderfully flavourful and beautifully sauce-drenched noodles. Texture of noodles was perfect and springy, clingy with all the sauce and toppings. Braised spareribs is a must-add. I love it, it’s extremely tender, with meat fall right off the bones. I had my noodles in the valued set, and enjoyed a side of garlic cucumbers and a glass of sweet & sour smoked plum juice.
