Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

Was craving for a nice Hong Kong breakfast after a night of partying and ended up at Fu Wah, which was just minutes walk away from my hotel. No fuss kind of place, service was better than I expected since reviewers said it was generally lousy. I loved my polo bun, thick slab of cold butter on a massive bun with a crispy top, so so good. My milk tea was really good as well. Wish I had the time to try more items!

Fu Wah Cafe is an absolute gem and easily one of the best places for breakfast and late-night comfort food. Their breakfast range is unbelievably delicious — every dish feels freshly made, packed with flavour, and cooked perfectly. From classic Hong Kong café favourites to rich milk tea and buttery toast, everything was spot on and seriously addictive. What makes Fu Wah Cafe even better is that they stay open until 1am, which is perfect for late-night cravings or those nights when you just want amazing comfort food after a long day. It’s rare to find a place serving such high-quality breakfast dishes so late into the evening. The atmosphere is warm, nostalgic, and welcoming, with friendly staff that make you feel right at home. Whether you’re stopping by for an early breakfast, lunch, or a midnight bite, Fu Wah Cafe absolutely delivers every single time. Highly recommended — this place is a must-visit!

Excellent fish curry and excellent Singapore curry noodles. The second time having curry noodles was even better. The curry color was deep yellow and the aroma was heavenly!

A classic HK 茶餐廳 cha chaan teng. We came here while in Causeway Bay after realizing Tsui Wah was closed. As any other cha Chaan teng that's worth going to, it was busy and we waiting 5-10 min for a table. We were a group for 3 and ended up sitting at a community table with another party seated across from us. No big deal, only adds to the charm of the experience. I had the pork chop stir fried instant noodles (出前一丁)with XO sauce and my sister got a beef version and a classic hot lemon black tea. The noodles are so good and full of flavor and umami. Exactly the flavor I always dream of when I'm outside Hong Kong. It has a robust menu ranging from breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea set, and dinner. Places like this are HK institutions.
