家之良品有限公司, a furniture and homewares shop in Kwun Tong, is at 九龍觀塘偉業街181號8樓B室. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. This is an upstairs shop: the way in is usually through the building lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.

It pays to compare prices before you buy and to check that the price shown includes everything. Octopus, credit cards, FPS and e-wallets work in most shops, though small ones may be cash only or set a minimum for cards; weekend and public-holiday afternoons are busiest, so weekday daytime is better for a relaxed browse. Flats in Hong Kong are compact, so measure doors, the lift and the room before buying furniture, and ask about delivery and assembly charges.

Opening hours: Mon closed, Tue–Sun 11:00–19:00. That makes 6 working days a week. It also opens on Sunday, though hours may differ on public holidays. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. You can call 3962 2343; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. Its website is xhomehk.com, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

Customers give it an average of 4.6 out of 5 on Google (54 reviews), a high score by any measure.

Kwun Tong is part of the Kwun Tong District in Kowloon. Kowloon is densely packed: Nathan Road runs north from Tsim Sha Tsui towards Prince Edward, lined along with its side streets by shops, restaurants and upstairs businesses, and most places are a few minutes' walk from an MTR station. Mong Kok's street markets, Sham Shui Po's electronics and fabric streets and Kowloon City's Thai restaurants are familiar landmarks for shopping and eating. Many Kwun Tong industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios; note the building name and floor, as access can differ in the evening and at weekends.
