About 京笹 居酒屋

日本料理店

京笹 居酒屋 is a Japanese or Korean restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Tsim Mong, at 九龍尖沙咀海防道32-34號1樓. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it. This is an upstairs shop: the way in is usually through the building lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.

When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 12:00–15:00 and 18:00–23:00. It is open seven days a week. There is a break between the lunch and dinner sessions. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2376 1888; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. Its website is kyozasa.com, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

At 4.2 out of 5 on Google (569 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.

I've visited here a few times already. 🏙️🍽️ This day, we had four people, so we could try more food. As I arrived an hour earlier, I sat down and had an iced black coffee (um... this one was just so-so), ☕🧊 and the staff was so nice to chat with me and introduce the menu, hidden menu, and drinks. 🗣️📝😊 So far, all the food has been good, with a family-style feel. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦😋 We had a great time. 🎉🥳 Just one comment: the toilet is so small. 🚽🤏 So, it's better to go to a mall for the toilet. 🛍️🚻

great to have a catch up dinner with friend for his BD celebration this year with delicious Japanese food. I enjoyed so much esp with the fresh mango smoothie with alcohol, will definitely try again soon! Forget to take photo of the drink….

This place has been around for more than a decade, and it’s still the same team running it! That’s impressive. However, the food was just so-so, and the flavours were either too aggressive, or it’s too bland. It’s always been the case, so it’s a little hard to find the perfect balance. But the vibe is great, it’s reminiscent of a real, bustling izakaya in Japan.

Apr 2024: many people during lunch time. Price is reasonable. Japanese owner. Portion is large compare to other Japanese restaurants in TAT. Food delivery fast. However, rice looks like ready a while as well as the main dish. I ordered the ginger pork set. The pork is chewy. Not much ginger taste. Sashimi is quite fresh.

I have been to this restaurant since some 25 years ago when it was still in its old location on Ashley Road. I am so happy that it still has the same Japanese owner and the food is still amazing. We ordered a selection of food to share including grilled chicken wings, assorted sushi, beef and tofu hot pot, teriyaki beef with rice and they are all delicious. I have recommended this restaurant to so many friends and all of them loved this place. I hope it will still be here for many years to come.
