In summer, avoid hiking at midday, carry plenty of water and take extra care when the Very Hot Weather Warning is in force.
Opening hours: daily, 05:00–24:00. It is open seven days a week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

Very beautiful park right in the heart of the city. Very lush green cover, a nice bird park with a variety of birds and fossil centre, huge swimming pools and much more. Definitely worth a visit while in HK. One can easily spend a couple of hours here.

Kowloon Park is a very easy walk to get to if you're staying in Tsim Sha Tsui close to the Victoria Harbour. I spent an hour going all over the park my first afternoon in Hong Kong. Loved seeing the flamingos in Bird Lake, plus the fountains, and just the greenery in general. The avenue of comic stars at the North-East end is quite nice and colorful - must be a hit with little kids. There is no entry fee for the park. I was able to find restrooms at the Heritage Discovery Center and close to the Avenue of Comic Stars.

Kowloon park is such a lovely place to walk. There are wide lanes and well signed paths. There is everything from a tiny McDonalds, to ponds, fountains, flamingos, graphic art, and floral displays. It’s a little bit of a quiet reprieve considering the busy surrounding city.

Kowloon Park in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong is one of the city’s largest urban green spaces, offering a peaceful escape from the busy streets. Highlights include the Lotus Pond with a fountain, the Maze Garden, the Kung Fu Court with Sunday martial arts shows, and the Avenue of Comic Stars. The park also features bird lakes, sculpture walks, and shaded paths, making it family‑friendly and free to enter. A blend of nature, culture, and leisure, Kowloon Park is a must‑visit spot for relaxation and exploration in the heart of Kowloon.

We brought our breakfast to Kowloon Park, which was vast and lovely and crowded. Lots of people are camping out in parks here due to the CNY holiday, so benches are scarce, but we found one in the shade. While enjoying our breakfast, we got serenaded by starlings for a long while. This place is peaceful, because it is massive and can absorb large crowds. There are clean bathrooms too. We would be happy to return here.
