About L'étoile de Mer Tsim Sha Tsui
L'étoile de Mer Tsim Sha Tsui is a hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Tsim Mong, at Flat B, 3/F, 金鑾大廈80 Nathan Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.
Hotels and guesthouses in Hong Kong must be licensed by the Office of the Licensing Authority under the Home Affairs Department; licensed guesthouses usually show their licence number at the door, and the register can be checked online. You will need an ID card or travel document at check-in, which is usually from 14:00 or 15:00, with check-out around noon; city rooms tend to be compact, so check the room size and whether it has a window. Hostels offer dorm beds and private rooms, ask for ID at check-in, and some provide lockers.
No opening hours have been published here yet; the Google Maps link on this page shows the latest details. Bear in mind that many small shops close over Lunar New Year and may not open while a typhoon or black rainstorm warning is in force. You can call 6143 6106; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. It is a mobile number, and many local businesses also answer enquiries on WhatsApp.
It has a Google rating of 3.2 out of 5 from 56 reviews, which is on the low side, so read the most recent reviews before you go.
Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere.

Don't turn your holiday to disaster in here. I cann't sleep during the night when noise cancellation in this hotel was so bad. People moving around open and shut the door all the time at 1 a.m They cooked noodle, having shower, do their own stuff like packaging luggages. Otherwise the lady that called on the phone contact was like angry in any case of yours. I don't feel good in herre my last night before catching the erly flight was terrible. Won't be back

When I checked google reviews I was hesitant about booking here BUT I ended up not regretting booking here. The location is very convenient. There are many stores near by and there’s an MTR right in front of the building. It is also walking distance to the famous attractions and restaurants in TST. The staff, ma’am Lance is very helpful and kind. It’s my first time staying in a hostel with mix gender but her warmth made my stay comfortable. It made me feel like I was just at home. When I asked her for tips (like where to buy and what places to visit), she willingly helped me. She’s very kind. When I’ll visit again, I will definitely book again here because of the convenience of this place and the kindness of ma’am Lance. Will also recommend this place to my friends.
