I stayed at Mingle by the Park in Hong Kong and wouldn’t recommend it. The room was tiny—barely enough space to move. The sink was the width of a palm. The AC blew straight onto the bed and couldn’t be adjusted due to the cramped layout. The place felt old and worn. I found trash under the bed and saw cockroaches near the fridge and behind the bed. No elevator in the main building, which made hauling luggage a pain. Walls are paper thin—you hear every sound from next door. It’s also on a busy street, and noise from cars and buses comes right through the windows. The only upsides were the low price (by Hong Kong standards), a narrow balcony, a small rooftop with some chairs, and a central location in Wan Chai. Also, the flood of one-sentence, three-word 5-star reviews looks fake. Doesn’t match the reality. For what you get, a hostel makes more sense. Same conditions, probably cheaper, and maybe a better vibe.
