Mobile-Zone

Mobile-Zone, a repair shop in Wan Chai, is at 香港島灣仔灣仔道188號Oriental 188 Shopping centre Shop 136 1/F. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. It is upstairs in a building, entered through the lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.

Before hiring a contractor, describe the job clearly and ask for a written quotation listing the items, materials, timetable and payment stages; comparing two or three quotes is normal. For work in a flat, the building management office usually needs to be told and sets its own working hours, and the law restricts the use of powered equipment between 19:00 and 07:00 and on Sundays and public holidays. Ask about inspection fees and a quote first; some shops still charge for the inspection if you decide not to go ahead.

Opening hours: Mon–Sat 12:30–21:00, Sun 12:30–20:00. It is open seven days a week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 9603 4746. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work.

Google shows 1.0 out of 5 based on 1 review; with so few opinions the score can move quickly as more customers weigh in.

Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.
