I participated in this Japanese language teacher recruitment and wanted to share my experience, hoping it might help others. At first, I thought it was a normal recruitment, but it turned out there was a condition: I had to pay tuition fees to join their paid training program. The cost wasn’t cheap—about 1,200 HKD for tuition plus 257 HKD for materials. Each level of the program included four lessons and one mock exam, a total of five sessions, and you had to register again to move to the next level. The same applied to beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. They had mock exams, which made it look quite official and like a complete training program, but honestly, considering the number of lessons and the content, the cost was high and the value for money is questionable. Normally, teachers are paid by the school, but here the applicants had to pay a significant fee themselves, which felt unreasonable. They did mention beforehand that a refund might be possible, but when you check the conditions and point calculations, it’s almost impossible to actually get a refund. This is the place to go if one wants to learn Japanese in a full immersive manner. The teachers are all very knowledgeable and have sound pedagogy. They are very attentive and adaptive in bringing about a student-centred teaching and learning experience
