Hong Kong has plenty of street snacks and budget eateries, with prices shown on the menu or price board and usually no service charge. Lunchtime and the evening rush are busiest, so take away or avoid the peak if you are in a hurry; some small shops close when they sell out or shut early in the evening, so check the hours before making a special trip. At cart-noodle shops you pick the noodles and toppings and pay by the number of toppings; congee shops often open early for breakfast.
Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Fri 11:30–21:30, Sat 12:00–20:30, Sun closed. It is open 6 days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 6583 8013; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work.
At 4.2 out of 5 on Google (326 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

Went to this dumpling resto in Central with my colleagues before heading to karaoke. . I ordered Pan-fried Mak Dumplings (8 pieces) (HKD52), which were filled with drunken chicken and cuttlefish. Unfortunately, the dumplings were lukewarm and not crispy. I couldn’t really taste the huadiao flavour of the drunken chicken, and the texture of the meat was slightly hard. One colleague ordered Pan-fried Kimchi with Cheese Dumplings (10 pieces) (HKD56). She mentioned that the Kimchi flavour was not prominent and there was very little cheese. Another colleague ordered Pan-fried Chive, Dried Shrimp & Pork Dumpling paired with Pan-fried Coriander & Pork (10 pieces) (HKD60). She commented that both dumplings were okay, though also lukewarm, and she felt the portion was insufficient. We actually waited quite a while for the dumplings to be served, even though there were only a few customers, so we didn’t understand why they weren’t served hot. The restaurant did serve each customer a free glass of sake, which tasted not too bad. . The place is decorated with lots of anime‑related posters and plays J‑pop and anime music. It has many positive reviews on social media, so we were quite disapp

Simple small eatery. I tried their handmade drunken chicken dumplings in coconut soup. It may look quite pale but all the white color was coconut noodles. Dumplings were so tasty. I can wait to try all other dishes.

A little out of the way but worth the discovery. Stopped in just by happenstance... And was glad I did. Dumplings were fresh and the Pyongyang noodles were perfect with the raw garlic... Pleasantly surprised. Will come back for more!

free sake with any order?! yeah, this central dumpling spot gets it. we’re obsessed with their 🥟pan-fried truffle pork dumplings—soooo fragrant. also devoured the 🐣soup dumplings with drunken chicken and cuttlefish, which were seriously good. sets come with noodles, and u gotta get 🍜udon for that perfect chew. the prawn soy milk broth is a cool, unique choice we also tried their new 🥥hotpot dumplings following staff rec. it’s light and packed w veggies, perfect if ur looking for sth healthier for snacks, 🍘deep-fried spring rolls are a must-order. only miss for me was the table-side flamed 🔥drunken chicken wings; a bit too boozy and bitter. still, an awesome affordable meal!

A hidden little dumpling shop in Central, their special soup dumplings reminded me of a sukiyaki broth mixed with Chinese oyster sauce which was surprisingly light which was the best dish among what we ordered. Udon was also very Japanese flavoured whilst the pan fried dumplings were crispy but couldn't tell the flavours between the ones we ordered. For the location prices were very reasonable but a little bit hard to find.
