Seafood is usually charged at market price, so ask the price per catty, the weight and any cooking charge before ordering.

Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

Had a group birthday dinner here last night. The 1st visit for me and I was pleasantly surprised. I love Chiu Chow cuisine and this restaurant didn't disappoint. There were 8 of us so we were able to order 12 dishes. All were scrumptious and reasonable portion size, even the 2 Chiu Chow desserts. The serving staff were old fashion but attentive. It was a Monday night and the restaurant was packed, even all the private rooms so I had to deduct one star for the atmosphere as it was quite noisy but hey a good problem to have in HK given so many restuarants are struggling at the mo. Will definitely return.

I had a wonderful meal at this Chiu Chow restaurant in Central —everything felt comforting, flavorful, and expertly cooked. The beef shank with soy sauce was the highlight for me. The meat was tender and richly flavored, with that deep, savory soy sauce taste that feels perfectly balanced—not overpowering, just deliciously aromatic. I also loved the pan-fried crispy noodles. They were perfectly crunchy on the outside while still flavorful throughout, with a satisfying texture after adding sugar and vinegar. The steamed mullet with lemon was refreshing and elegant. The fish was light and tender, and the lemon added a bright, clean finish. Finally, the seaweed tofu soup was soothing and comforting. The flavors were gentle and well-seasoned, and the seaweed gave it a wonderfully savory depth, while the tofu made it feel silky and satisfying.

It’s quite full even weekday nite, so tables are quite close to each other. Food is ok overall but not spectacular, reasonably priced and portion considered it’s at central.

Crowded. You must have reservations if you go on peak hours. If you don’t know what to eat and wanted to try some authentic teowchew menu- come to this restaurant. Price I don’t know coz we were invited for dinner.

A HK friend recommended us here for a good Teochew dinner. Found it on Openrice the HK app but managed to book and had a table as it was fully booked even on a Thursday! 😱 Staff was very friendly and recommended simple dishes such as mixed braised goose parts, Chinese cabbage fried with dry shrimps and mixed Teochew dishes. The fried shantou cabbage with dried shrimps was really sweet and delicious. Mixed goose parts was great though we just missed the goose intestines which were sold out. Must remember to order that in advance. Overall it was wonderful dinner. Will definitely return when I visit HK again.
