About Something Wild - The Farm Restaurant 野玩田店

Something Wild - The Farm Restaurant 野玩田店, a vegetarian restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Tsim Mong, is at 尖沙咀彌敦道63號3/F Shop 307iSQUARE 國際廣場. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.

When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Some vegetarian restaurants are fully vegan while others use eggs and dairy, so ask if it matters to you.

Opening hours: daily, 12:00–22:00. It is open seven days a week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 3755 4899. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, somethingwild.com.hk.

At 4.1 out of 5 on Google (439 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.

Overall good value for money. Set lunch includes salad and soup and dessert bar. The truffle risotto is really good.

Definitely a surprise find, I was super hungry so I went there for a late lunch. They have a set menu for lunch which has soup with bread, a main dish, and tea/coffee. I had the black truffle risotto with wild mushrooms in cream sauce, it was pretty decent. I also had the blueberry cheesecake and it was delicious.

Recently I have been checking for buffet meals. This came up in the search. DO NOT VISIT HERE if you want a buffet meal. Wife and I ordered food. Wife ordered the Aberdeen Angus steak with sweet potato fries. I ordered the steak meal. And a surprisingly pleasant bean Tea. Soups came out.. wife's fries came out. My set meal steak came out. Then wife's steak came out. The service staff are great. It's the Kitchen staff. The meal did not come out as 1. My set meal. My wife's steak and sweet fries. What annoys me the most is this place has mirrors, So I could see the kitchen staff sitting down. And unlike every other place I have eaten in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 it has a 10% service charge.

A- food, A+++ Effort This place had a very interesting deal of getting a free mini buffet with purchase of a main. Happy to report that everything was good especially for the price. I got the red curry duck spaghetti and while it was a tad spicy for my tastes, the texture of everything was great. Mini buffet items also had a great amount of variety and should be commended.

The lunch set main course came with a salad bar with soup and sweet. This was an offer, the salad bar usually cost $38 extra. The prices of the lunch main course were reasonable considering its location. Taste and presentation were both good. The attendants were not quite attentive but once you grabbed their attention, they were pretty helpful. Would certainly come again.
