Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

Highly recommend Dr Lily, I’ve been to see her several times to help with a few post-partum worries and she is always so compassionate and helpful. The reception and nurses are also lovely (and even opened a nurse room for me to change my baby). Thank you!

I go to see Osteopath Alessio Savona at the London Medicinal Clinic, not because he’s a three-time gold winner for "Best Osteopath" by Reader's Choice Awards, he is simply the best! I’ve been going to see Alessio for different issues from neck, joint or chronic back pain and movement over a number of years, he always can pinpoint the underlying courses of the problem and gives the precise treatment. The important thing is that after the completion of the treatment, the issue doesn’t come back! I highly recommended everyone who wanted to try osteopath to seek out Alessio.

Alessio being back in HK is the best news ever. He’s a fantastic osteopath and knows just how to help improve joints and mobility. I cannot speak highly enough and am so grateful to his guidance.

I visited this clinic twice within 10 days for a bad cold that wasn’t improving. The clinic itself is clearly premium—central location, clean, efficient, reception was helpful, and the overall service experience felt professional. My issue was with the treatment approach. The doctor was very conservative and wouldn’t prescribe stronger medication. When I asked whether antibiotics were appropriate given my symptoms weren’t improving, he advised me to go to a hospital for possible lab tests instead. He also said antibiotics could cause diarrhea and “kill good stomach bacteria.” I followed the advice and went to the hospital. The hospital doctor felt my case was a common cold, did not think lab tests were necessary, and said the antibiotic side-effect concern was a minor issue in my situation. After receiving medication there, I felt significantly better quickly. Another concern: the clinic’s RAT test was HKD 650, which feels extremely overpriced when similar kits are available at nearby pharmacies for under HKD 50. Overall: great facility and service, but based on my experience the medical decision-making and pricing didn’t feel aligned with what I needed. I honestly think I woul
