About 天然齋
天然齋, a vegetarian restaurant in Wan Chai, is at 香港島灣仔謝斐道254-272號杜誌台. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted.
When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Some vegetarian restaurants are fully vegan while others use eggs and dairy, so ask if it matters to you.
Google lists the opening hours as Mon 11:30–21:30, Tue 11:30–16:00, Wed–Sun 11:30–21:30. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2338 6179. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.
At 4.2 out of 5 on Google (445 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

Can't really complain, food was good and just nice to have a restaurant with plenty of vegetarian options. We had the fried rice and fried noodles, very affordable. Limited English but no issues ordering.

This place is unironically the best vegetarian restaurant I’ve been to in HK. Very tasty food. Especially the imitate bbq pork… the texture and flavors are so insanely similar. And in general the cooking is well done. Good service. Affordable price

I went there twice. Food is great and fresh, compared to other vegetarian dim sum. The fried rice has a lot of wok hei mei, which is very pleasant to eat! The restaurant is kids-friendly. Service is great, the ladies are very nice there !

I always wanted to try out this place. So I took out a rice dish. It was very good and I’ll eat inside next time. They have set meals which look very interesting. They also sell frozen food stuff and moon cakes. This particular Green Veggie restaurant at 254-272 Jaffe Road is distinct from others and is particularly noted for its active charity model. Their most significant initiative is the "Meal for a Meal" program. For every meal a customer purchases, the restaurant donates a free, nutritious meal to someone in need within the Hong Kong community. They partner with local NGOs and food banks to distribute these meals to the homeless, low-income families, and the elderly. This direct approach integrates charity into their core business, allowing every customer to automatically contribute to fighting food poverty. They also periodically support other charitable causes, making them a popular choice for diners who want their spending to have a positive social impact. I encourage all to participate in this charity effort. You won’t be disappointed.

it's a casual vegetarian restaurant in wanchai with very reasonable price that serves the neighbourhood. we're here quite lazy towards its closing hour but still they were willing to serve. we picked the set with 2 mains and soup. the food came very hot and sizzling in the stone pot! but the two dishes that we picked were quite similar so like the whole meal we're eating the same sauce base. it's quite a good place for family dinner. more travel ideas, photos & videos👇🏾 follow me on ig: food.n.cats.not1less
