Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere.

This place deserves a 5-Star review because their local HK breakfast is legit, and the price point is reasonable. The thing is u can’t really “eat cheap” if u were to walk in to one of these brightly lit, air-conditioned and with comfortable seating char chan teng in HK. So when we do a fair and reasonable comparison, this place really is worth taking your family (esp if u have children with u). Their menu is quite typical of a HK char chan teng, but personally, their food and tastes and price point can easily beat Tsui Wah flat. No kid u. When I googled, I realised there are several other Mon Kee Cafes; but the one I had patronised a few times is this particular beside Ladies’ Market, with Gala Place just opposite the junction (with an Aeon Style inside it).

First stop for food in HK. Surprisingly taste is good! Portion is big as well for a reasonable price. Service is friendly :)

Great food, great place, nice waiters.... what else do you need? 😍😍😍 Love this place... going to miss this place... Its a HK mix rice, with BBQ pork mix with omelet and a special HK soy sauce. The BBQ pork is great... you can choose either rice or noodle (or poridge?)... then add shrimps.... Try also for the milk tea... great combination... This is my 5 stars review in HK

Service was quick. Shrimp & scrambled eggs and the bbq pork/scrambled eggs were delicious. Macaroni soup with ham slivers and French toast were just average. Milk tea was a bit too robust for us.
