Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

The floor is oily and slippery in some areas, which could be a safety concern. I also found the ordering process inconvenient, as required to order via QR code and payment is cashless only. It would be nice to have alternative options for those who prefer a more traditional ordering experience or wish to pay with cash. I didn’t realize the restaurant was Michelin-recommended until I arrived, which was a pleasant surprise. As for the food, the soup base was a little too salty for my personal preference.

What I loved: The noodle shop cooking was good and the noodles come in big, generous servings. I especially enjoyed the water cress and pork noodles, and the chicken wings were an absolute delight. I also like that they leave lots of sauces and seasonings on the table, so you can customize your meal. What didn’t work for me: Their homemade spicy preserve radish wasn’t my favorite— it was extremely salty, and it overpowered the flavor for me. My biggest gripes (service/cleanliness): - They were cleaning the table and window while customers were still dining, which can definitely feel unsanitary during operation hours. - Also, the restaurant doesn’t provide tissues or table napkins after your meal, which left my hands, mouth, and chopsticks very oily. Overall, the food is flavorful enough, but the cleanliness/comfort issues keep this from being a full 3-star experience.

3.8/5 Man Kee Cart Noodles offers a classic HK dining experience. The place is rather cramped and we had to share tables with others. The noodle broth has a strong umami depth, and some of the add-ons I had; like the sotong and fish paste were tasty and well done. I wasn’t a big fan of the Swiss chicken wings, though they were decent. Prices are reasonable, and overall it’s a good spot to try for an authentic taste of Hong Kong cart noodles. I would recommend visitors give it a go at least once, especially for the experience.

really good cart noodles here. the original shop has expanded and taken another unit 2-3 doors down the road, newly renovated with retro vibes and automated order delivery system. highly recommending the swiss soup base which other places do no have. clear soup base is also very flavourful. swiss chicken wings are nicely braised and the beef brisket is cooked perfectly tender. recommending the mixian (rice noodles) but can opt of without noodles too every table is equipped with various international sauces for customisation. will definitely be back for more noodles.

If you want to stuff your stomach and retrieve your hunger, there is no issue with this noodle restaurant! However, my low rating is not on the food. Nobody tells me how to place my order! The queueing outaide the shop is confusing. No sign or instruction! Why the supervisor or the manager or the owner is yelling to the staff speeding up? I ordered the veggie and I saw the staff has already cooking my veggie. If she speeded up the cooking, the veggie would be undercooked! That supervisor or manager or owner was kept on yelling on her staff. No rice noodle because it was not prepared in advance. Scolding with customer that rice noodle is out and posted on the social media. Sigh! I was instructed to sit on a table with finished bowls, chicken bones and leftover on the table until I finished half of my noodle soup! I understand this is a traditional Hong Kong style of service but Michelin has endorsed this restaurant. How can Michelin endorse this restaurant in 2025? I feel sorry to the staff that was trying to clean my table was interrupted for so many times as the supervisor or manager or owner yelling at her. Is this abusing her?
