About Whynotfitnesshk
Whynotfitnesshk is a gym in Wan Chai, at 香港島灣仔皇后大道東3樓B-D室 Unit 3A. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.
Public pools and sports facilities run by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department are inexpensive, and many can be booked through the SmartPLAY system; most outdoor pools close in winter while heated indoor pools stay open all year. Private gyms and studios vary in price and facilities, so visit and compare. If you only need a gym for a short time, ask about day or monthly passes rather than a long contract.
Google lists it as open 24 hours, seven days a week, though arrangements may change in a typhoon or other special circumstances, so call if it matters. You can call 9604 9013; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work. More information is on its website, whynotfitnesshk.com.
Customers give it an average of 4.9 out of 5 on Google (21 reviews), a high score by any measure.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

Great gym experience for a beginner like myself who is usually intimidated by other busier gyms. My session with Kelvin was very informative, helping me develop a holistic training plan. Nice and clean environment too and great location from my office in Admiralty.
