In Hong Kong several kinds of work need qualified people: plumbing on the fresh-water supply should be done by a Water Supplies Department licensed plumber, electrical work by a worker registered with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, and minor works such as air-conditioner supporting frames may fall under the Buildings Department's Minor Works Control System. Ask for a receipt or completion certificate and keep the warranty details. Laundries charge by the piece or by weight; check your ticket and the condition of items on collection.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 08:00–20:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 3994 9783. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. Its website is sunshinelaundry.com.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

No Google reviews yet, so a personal recommendation or a quick call is the best guide; many small shops still run on regulars and word of mouth.

Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.
