Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

Brenda and her husband are just absolute institutions of Hong Kong and the best hosts! Their Peking Duck is for me HKs best and absolutely inexpensive. The crispy chicken is outstanding and overall just a great small restaurant! All her repeating customers are a sign for the quality and homely atmosphere. My go to place to take friends and visitors

Decent food but way too overpriced and less quantity. The lady/owner realised we were foreigners and kept trying to make us order more. She made up random rules, such as everyone at the table had to opt for tea even if they didn’t want to. Then when we wanted to pay, she made up another rule of minimum spend $500 for card payment. Luckily, we had just enough cash and were able to get away without ordering more. She also added a very high service charge, despite the food being overpriced already. Don’t fall for this scam and stay away from this restaurant. We had much better Chinese food everywhere else for 1/3rd the price.

Small serving size for this price (I was surprised that we weren’t full after Peking duck, usually it is more than enough for 2 person), but really nice lady owner and atmosphere, and no complaints about food taste.

This quaint Chinese Szechuan restaurant is ran by Brenda and her husband. I had dinner here the first night in Hong Kong. She is an absolute delight. She’s refreshingly genuine and so friendly. You can tell she puts a lot of heart into her restaurant. We loved this restaurant so much, we ate here twice during our trip. They had a mouthwatering blend of spicy and flavorful. We ordered: Szechuan Fried Chicken - this was by far the best fried chicken I’ve had. It is so crispy, yet tender and juicy. It wasn’t oily at all and the texture was amazing. Deep Fried Squid - full of flavor and perfect for calamari fanatics. Peking Duck - extra crunchy skin and delicious pancakes to go with the duck. Stewed Eggplant with minced pork - there’s something comforting about this dish and goes great with other proteins. Highly recommend this authentic restaurant. It’s great to support local, small business.

First of all, the in house pet (pictured) literally called 'dog dog' makes this restaurant worth a visit alone. He's an absolute champ. The food is good, every dish we had was tasty but nothing was especially unique or unusual. The service was speedy and the staff in good humor. Considering the location it's also a fairly inexpensive restaurant. Despite being quite small it doesn't feel cramped and by the end of the evening the place was really lively. A very enjoyable and reliable meal.
