In Hong Kong several kinds of work need qualified people: plumbing on the fresh-water supply should be done by a Water Supplies Department licensed plumber, electrical work by a worker registered with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, and minor works such as air-conditioner supporting frames may fall under the Buildings Department's Minor Works Control System. Ask for a receipt or completion certificate and keep the warranty details. Laundries charge by the piece or by weight; check your ticket and the condition of items on collection.

Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Sat 08:00–20:00, Sun 09:00–19:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 9541 7666; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work.

Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.
