Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

Went to Boat House Pattaya Thai Food at the 8th floor of Dragon Centre in Sham Shui Po today because I had something to do there, so I thought I’d give it a try since I was really craving Thai food. I ordered the Thai style Hainanese chicken rice and an iced lemon tea. It was honestly very well made and you could tell there was real effort put into it. They even cooked the fried egg fresh to order, and I could see it being made. The dish came with pickled white radish, cucumber, peanuts and shredded vegetables on the side, which added a nice balance of flavours and textures. The white rice itself was fragrant they added coconut oil, and the chicken was tender and tasty. It also came with ginger oil and chilli sauce for dipping, which made it even better. The iced lemon tea had a slice of lime in it and used a Thai-style tea base, so it was very refreshing. At only 56 dollars, it was definitely great value for money and worth trying. Situated within the food court seating wasn't exactly very comfortable. But just enjoy the meal and get going!
