Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

Hoi lam gai fan is so tender and juicy! Flavourful! Peanut free. Excellent rice. Clean and bright restaurant.

It’s overrated. Not worth the price, the chicken rice was mediocre at most, chilli was not spicy nor fragrant. Nasi lemak sambal was too salty.

Another Instagram feed recommendation. Was attracted by the big piece of beef rib where I instantly had to come try and was not disappointed. The kaya toast with that THICK piece of bigger was simply satisfying and worth the extra calories and fat. The laksa was alright, just tastes like any laksa I had in other chain restaurants in Hong Kong.
