Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

Had a lunch date with my friend there. Arrived around 12.30 it’s quite full already. Ordered a Parma ham open toast and oat milk flat white. My friend got a pork collar salad and regular flat white. The food is on point. Coffee is in good quality as expected. The cafe gave a 90-minute-eating rule, overall we have far more than enough time to finish our food and talk in a relax manner. The tables are quite close as it’s common in HK does not bother me as the other customers are respecting each other’s space.

One of the first specialty cafes to open on Tai Nan Street, Sham Shui Po. Interior is cramped with a narrow walkway but this is Hk anyway. Seat for two is literally that small space and no place to put your bags. It is known for a welcoming, unpretentious atmosphere that bridges the gap between old SSP and the new "hipster" scene. It is pet-friendly, very popular with dog owners; you'll often see locals hanging out with their pets at the entrance. Food wise, it was great. The all day breakfast set with scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, bagel toast, mushrooms, sausage and salad. The aqua pasta was also delicious with seared scallops and good portion of crabmeat. The drinks we had a latte and an iced chocolate. The latte was good with strong coffee taste and nice latte art.

Back here again - this time on a weekday afternoon with no crowds and no queues. 😌 We came for late lunch but ended up staying till it closed! Tired their Avo & Salmon bagel and Oh Parma sourdough. Perfectly toasted, fresh ingredients, generous fillings. Coffee was great as usual, and the matcha latte paired nicely with the food.

Super tasty and thoughtfully made, totally worth the wait. The matcha latte is really good too, feels like they’ve treated the matcha specially, so it’s smooth and not bitter.
