Cafés, bakeries, dessert and drinks shops are often mainly takeaway with a few seats, and weekend afternoons are the busiest. Many accept Octopus, credit cards and e-wallets, and some run loyalty schemes or pre-orders; birthday cakes and festive boxes (mooncakes at Mid-Autumn, for example) usually need ordering in advance, a few days ahead on popular dates. If you plan to work or study in a café, check for power sockets and any seating time limit.
Opening hours: Mon 11:00–20:00, Tue closed, Wed–Sun 11:00–20:00. That makes 6 working days a week. It opens on Sunday too, like most places to eat in Hong Kong. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

I arrived at around 2pm, and it was quite empty. I wanted to order the lemon 🍋 tart but it was not available. I stayed and worked with a latte. An hour later, the friendly staff came over and told me that the lemon tart is now available and asked me if I wanted one 🫢 of course 😋 really enjoyed it, would be even happier if the crust is thicker.

Comfy no-queue cafe which I discovered today. No one rushes you and the dessert was great (I had basque cheesecake original).

Their signature dessert lemon cream tart works so well with a straight black. The light atmosphere .. music, minimal decor, amiable servers, allow a great chill when you have time to kill. The fellow customers are also nice (NOT LOUD at all) the kind that allow one to just enjoy an hour's quiet.
