Bars, karaoke venues and clubs keep late hours, some until the early morning, though many close earlier from Sunday to Thursday. Tables and karaoke rooms can be booked by phone or WhatsApp, and big groups should book early; if you have been drinking, take a taxi or public transport home and never drink and drive.
Google lists the opening hours as daily, 00:00–06:00 and 15:00–24:00. It is open seven days a week. Lunch and dinner are served in separate sessions with a break in between. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2866 6289. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. Its website is carnegies.com.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

STAY AWAY!!!! Our drinks got spiked by staff (“free drinks for girls”) and I was basically unconscious and throwing up nonstop for 2h after even though I only had 1 drink + a 711 strong sour. Staff was also rude - a guy friend held our drink for a bit and the staff yelled at him because the drinks were “for girls only”. Do not visit!!

Had such a fun night at Carnegies Bar in Hong Kong! The live music was great and the crowd was lively and full of energy. I ended up staying until the bar closed because the vibe was just that good. 🎶🍻 It’s definitely a great spot for foreigners like me—very welcoming, easy to mingle, and the atmosphere makes it easy to just relax and enjoy the night. If you’re looking for a place with good music and a fun international crowd, Carnegies is worth checking out!

Stay away !! Dangerous bar!! Me and my friends went on a Wednesday night (free-drinks for girls) and the drinks were roofied. We had only one drink and felt very sick. The staff is aggressive and participates to create an unsafe environment : The security beat up my friend for no reason. Be very careful going there, especially if you’re a girl.

Stumbled into Carnegies on the Friday of Chinese new year and I immediately knew it would become my favorite hangout spot. Friendly staff welcomed me to Hong Kong. Fish and chips were very good and I also had the chicken burger which was amazing. They have a good variety of beer and phenomenal entertainment. The house band is top-notch as well as karaoke nights with Roland.
