Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at Craft Beer Bar – Hoppy Junction (Wanchai). From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful—quick to recommend beers and eager to make sure I found exactly what I was in the mood for. The beer selection is a real highlight: it’s well-curated, flavorful, and there are plenty of options for hop lovers. Every pint I tried tasted fresh and on point. I’ll definitely be back—this is one of the best spots in Wanchai for craft beer and especially for anyone who loves hoppy styles.

Visited in late April 2026, beer was horrifically bad. Extremely expensive (80-100 HK dollars, at the time around 10 € per beer) and the taste was awful. We ordered a bunch of different types (sour ale, IPA, ...) and none of it tasted how it should. Not to mention they didn't even have 4 beers that were on the menu (out of 15)! Someone ordered a long island ice tea, it was even worse (somehow). I struggle to understand how you can mess up such a simple cocktail. The glass wasn't cooled and it didn't even have any garnish! Some of us were hungry and we decided to order a pizza and some dumplings. We obviously weren't expecting great things, but the pizza we got was insultingly bad, considering the price. The salami had the texture and taste of plastic and the cheese was straight up rancid. The dumplings were more expensive than at some michelin star restaurants we visited and were very clearly came from a box. If you want to charge such obscene prices, at least put some effort in. Not to mention we had to wait well over 40 minutes for the microwaved food to arrive. They played some really bad remixes of songs that were popular a couple of years ago. We were pretty much the only pe

been here twice, usually the beer the serve has too much foam. And even with many taps they only had 4 choices available this week? quite strange. Other than that it’s a nice bar to hang out if you enjoy craft beer.

Thank you so much Dannis who generously took care of our table!! We stayed here till very late, Dannis and his team were so kind to us: not rushing us to leave at all, and they were genuinely happy that we enjoyed our time there!! So grateful for this hospitality. I'd highly recommend anyone to just come here and have fun, these folks are the best host!

If you're looking for some craft beer, this is the place: There's so much on tap to choose from. The staff were so lovely and attentive. You can sit outside and watch the trams and people roll by, or be cosier inside. Worth travelling for!
