Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

I had a terrible experience at this hospital with my previous dog. She had heart issues that were terminal and sadly passed, but the vet we saw had very little compassion and recommended a that we keep her in an oxygen box at the hospital for the rest of her life and for us to visit her at the hospital in the meantime (she still had a few months after that visit)… I don’t know if they genuinely thought it was a good idea or it was a money grab but that seemed like a horrible end of life care that they would recommend (ie to be locked up alone in a box for months) versus taking her home where the family could take care of and love her well for the rest of her time.

I’ve taken both my cats here and the staff seems to genuinely enjoy their jobs and it’s always a delight. My cat actually enjoys going to the vet!

I would like to thank the entire staff at CityU VMC for their compassionate support but special mention to Ms. Lee Kang Shi Janet, she has been truly exceptional in her role in Client Relations and Growth. I was incredibly overwhelmed when I walked into the emergency clinic at CityU VMC with my very sick dog Frosty. The moment I arrived, she guided me through the full admission process and helped calm me while everything felt too much to handle. The next morning, I met with Dr. Virginia Merino, an internal medicine specialist. She was incredibly thorough in explaining my pet, Frosty’s, condition. We truly appreciate Dr. Virginia’s professionalism, compassion, and dedication. After receiving the heartbreaking news of Frosty’s diagnosis, we made the difficult decision to set him free from all of his discomforts through euthanasia. It was the most painful choice we have ever had to make. Dr. Virginia and Janet supported me throughout the process—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Janet also guided me through the cremation process and everything that followed, with such kindness, patience, and care. I’m sincerely grateful to the whole team at CityU VMC for their presence during t

My dog was referred to internal medicine for her platelet problem. Very helpful and friendly staff. They make our wait and her blood taking procedure very smooth and as hassle free as it could be. Dr. Andrea and Dr. Marie explained my dog’s condition to me very patiently. They also explored alternative treatment plans with lengthy discussions of each options’ pros and cons. I really appreciate your professionalism and empathy.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our family is so grateful to Dr. Kevin, an amazing ophthalmologist who took such wonderful care of our cat, Ha Peng. He was incredibly patient, listened carefully to all our concerns, and explained everything about the surgery in a very clear and reassuring way. Ha Peng was diagnosed with feline corneal sequestrum, which I learned is quite common for British Shorthair cats. Thanks to Dr. Kevin’s expertise and gentle care, our little cutie recovered beautifully — and she still has her bright, bling-bling eyes! We truly appreciate Dr. Kevin’s professionalism, compassion, and dedication. Millions of thanks from our whole family (and Ha Peng too)! Highly recommended to any pet parent in need of a caring and skilled eye specialist.
