Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

I was running errands all day and had originally intended to look for a place for lunch. However, I was getting really hungry so I just decided to pop into Cafe de Coral for a quick bite. It's been decades since I was last at one of these. It's essentially HK style fast food. You can get Western style food, Chinese home cooked style food, and even Chinese BBQ. I saw a long line and decided to use the self serve kiosks (of course not realizing that this feature was for take away orders). After ordering I went to wait for my food. It was ready very quickly and that was when I realized I had chosen the take away option. I asked the man if it was okay to eat there. He was super nice and said "of course" and then proceeded to give me real utensils (my meal was already in a takeaway box) and a tray. It was busy and I noticed people just randomly sitting at empty spots. So after looking around a bit, I found an empty seat and sat down to enjoy my meal. I ordered the BBQ pork and soy sauce chicken over rice option. It was pretty good. I mean for fast food, it was more than good. The food was tasty and the portion was enough for me for lunch. You can also add on soup and veggies if you

Interesting atmosphere as every one quietly enjoying the breakfast before work. Big applause to the staff passing tissue sincerely to the guests while on the way to refilling the tissue box at the pick up counter. Have not experienced such service in any other fast food restaurants. Thank you

The BBQ pork and sweet black rice/taro dessert was significantly better here than other branches I’ve tried. The BBQ pork was well coated with a lot of flavour and well sliced. It also had extra sauce to flavour the rice. The dessert had a LOAD of taro pieces. It’s the best food I’ve had at a CDC (I eat at CDC whenever I’m in Hong Kong). Definitely saving this place to visit again! The service was very fast too, ready in less than 4 minutes from ordering. I ordered online using the QR code on the table.

Minced meat rice with Char siu and onsen egg! Minced meat has good flavours and the Char siu was so tender!

This fast food chain restaurant was located at the end of the shopping aisle. The staff were helpful. The place was clean. Toilets were not on the floor level and was upstairs, sharing with other tenants. Quality of food was standardized but was not early sold out like another restaurant near the Mid-Levels escalator. Not so crowded as well.
